Current
and former cast members of Broadway’s “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Mamma Mia” and Disney’s
“The Festival Of The Lion King,” have joined together to perform “Our Voice – A Celebration Of Black
Women In Music.”
This 45 minute show takes its audience on a journey through African American history utilizing the music of
African American women. The show includes songs like, “Hoe Emma, Hoe,” a call and response
slave song and “Never Give Up” a song originally performed by one of gospel music’s most celebrated contemporary
artists, Yolanda Adams. Nicole Pryor, Alana Simone, Nadine Roden, Angela Clark, Danielle
White, and Joel Rene make up the talented rotating cast. |

The Soprano Sisters features classically trained
performance vocalists and divas of color, Nicole Pryor, Kimberly Kidd and Danielle White. All three performers hail from Las
Vegas, where all three perform opera at the Venetian, one in the Canal Shops and two in Broadway’s “The Phantom
Of The Opera.” The Soprano Sisters present impressive vocals and musical interludes much like the female counterpart to Broadway's
"Three Mo Tenors." You will not only experience Opera music, but also Musical Theater, Jazz and Gospel, all with
a classical undertone. The
Soprano Sisters share the music of many great performers and shows. Some of the songs featured are: “Blue
Skies,” performed by many great jazz vocalists including the great Ella Fitzgerald, “Can’t
Help Lovin’ Dat Man Of Mine” from the Broadway musical, Showboat, and “Total Praise,” a popular gospel
song written by Richard Smallwood.

The play - [original script written by Steve Scionti and James Shanta / new draft by Steve Scionti
and Anthony Crivello] and performed by Scionti (a former Middletown, Connecticut resident) - brings to life all the passion,
comedy and drama inherent in a Sicilian-American family. Hear What's
In The Heart - A Shoemaker's Tale, is set against the backdrop of a post-funeral gathering to celebrate the life of Scionti's
grandfather, Angelo Morello (who owned Angleo's Shoe Repair on Main Street in Middletown). Taking us through the funeral day's events, Scionti paints a theatrical family portrait in a series
of humorous and poignant vignettes transforming himself into various family members and friends, jumping back and forth through
time to affecting moments on his journey into adulthood. Eight characters are portrayed in all, including his grandfather;
his father Sebastiano; his mother Rosetta; brother Antonio; uncles Amadeo and Manny; Jerry, the local neighborhood pizza-maker;
and Brother Connelly, a teacher from Xavier High School in Middletown, CT. "Family
goes across all racial and ethnic lines. You don't have to be Italian to enjoy this show," states Scointi, and Alvin
Klein of The New York Times agrees, adding, "...though Mr. Scionti makes you think you are. By the time the tale of Angelo
Morello has been told, you know that flights of angels truly sang him to his rest." |

Raised
just thirty minutes from America’s entertainment capital, Hollywood, California, Nicole always felt drawn to the performance
spotlight. She began taking piano lessons at four and at age 12, talent met discipline when she added formal
voice lessons and began writing original music. Her hard work paid off with a scholarship to Pepperdine University for classical
voice. Typical of her incredible work ethic, she graduated with a degree in music and advertising in only
three years.
The start of her professional career was in the role of Yonah in the musical, “Children Of
Eden” at Cabrillo Music Theater in Thousand Oaks, California. That same year, she was crowned Miss
Ventura County 2002 and was 4th Runner-Up to Miss California in the Miss America Organization, winning the talent competition
at both levels as well as “Miss Congeniality”. Nicole went on to perform the role of Sarah
in the musical “Ragtime” in three southern California theaters. Her vocal recording of Jim
Centorino’s “Song Of The Albatross” on his “Three Dreams” album was submitted for a 2003 GRAMMY
Nomination. Wholesome and disciplined, Nicole was a perfect addition to Disney’s popular a-cappella
group, American Vybe, at Disney, Orlando. Her professional singing engagements for contract and charity
are numerous. Currently she is performing in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom Of The Opera” in Las Vegas
in the role of the Wardrobe Mistress and Confidante.
Creativity and passion inspired Nicole’s
recently recorded album of original songs on “Nicole Pryor – Unplugged.” This album features
Nicole’s talents in their most organic form with very little production on this recording. Nicole
wrote the lyrics and music, played the piano, and sang all the vocals on the album.
On New
Year’s Eve 2007, inspiration struck again. Nicole wrote her declaration song, “I’m Here,”
the title of her solo career debut. “I’m Here”, “Movin’ On”, and “Say
Goodbye”, written by Nicole, are all on her debut demo CD. Nicole credits her talented arranger,
pianist, producer, and friend, Tony Branco, for believing in her music and taking her songs to the next level.
Nicole
is ready to make a splash on the music scene. As a solo artist, she is a gifted vocalist and writer.
As a person, Nicole’s style is both earthy-chic and classic. She’s a young
woman comfortable in her own skin, adorned with intelligence, honesty and kindness. Her message, personality,
and talent will most definitely make an impact on the music industry and the world. |
